Adrienne Fawkes grew up an only child in a small suburban town.  She constantly was singing as a small child and began classical piano lessons at age 7.  She was composing music by the time she was 8 on the piano, instead of playing Mozart, for which she was often in trouble.  Coming from a musical family, Adrienne’s mother exposed her to a broad range of music, taught her to harmonize and despite Adrienne’s reluctance, insisted she stick with piano lessons through her senior year of high school.

In college, Adrienne’s passion for singing landed her in an all female a capella group called the Wheatones, which she eventually led.  She was nominated for the 1996 Female Collegiate Best Soloist for a Mariah Carey song she sung on the Wheatones CD.

After graduating college, Adrienne worked with many musicians, joined several bands, but eventually felt the need to be on her own to flourish.

In 2005 she decided to take a more serious focus on her music and recorded her first solo CD “Wake Up” consisting of covers as well as originals.   In 2007 she recorded her second CD, "Fearless" containing all original music.

Adrienne’s life stories radiate through her songs, laden with strong emotion.  Adrienne’s powerful voice can grip your attention, take hold and you won’t be free until she’s done.  She has a unique style and sound-a truly gifted singer and songwriter.

Adrienne teaches music and movement classes in local preschools and kindergartens.  She lives in central MA, with her husband and two children.

"Adrienne Fawkes is a singer, songwriter, pianist of immense talent who sings with a voice that is big and sweet... Self proclaimed the ‘piano girl’, she complements the buoyancy of her voice with a hard yet melodic power on the piano, taking us on a romantic, melancholic journey."

Adrienne can take you through the whole gamut of emotions with her music; from unbridled joy to the deepest melancholy.  Her voice can be soothing or raucous, and her playing style is as smooth as gossamer.  Her broad musical influence, from Bach and Beethoven through CSNY and Paul Simon to Tori Amos and Fiona Apple, blend together to flavor her music in a way that is truly unique.
